On Monday night William spiked an extremely high fever of 103. Needless to say, no one got any sleep that night! On Tuesday when we arrived for our outpatient chemotherapy the nurses took a blood culture (figure out th cause of high fever). This morning we received the call - William received a positive on his cultures.
So, here we are at Sutter Resort and Spa........
Shortly after arriving, William was given a dose of Vancomycin (broad antibiotic) and shortly after receiving the Vancomycin, William broke out in hives and had an anxiety attack. So, long story short..... Chemo Suck, Antibiotics Suck, Germs suck, Pain sucks, Watching our little boy going through all this crap SUCKS..

Lois and Will-i-am- Spencer, Emily and WC are thinking of you. Tell em you need some Child Life Dog companion love STAT! Spencer says if you have to be stuck there- make them get you a Wii so you can take it out on alien invaders, or something like that.
We are thinking of you, and hope you can beat the infection quickly.

Lois, I am so sorry !!!! It is the hardest thing watching our child go through this rotten cancer!!!! I wish DSRCT would go away ! It wipes you out. We think of you all the time, and wish you the best. Cody is hanging in there. counts are not comming up so hasn't had chemo since January while we were in Texas. Hopefully this Monday he can start back up again. I do know how you are hurting watching your son.
Hanging in there is all we can do.
Take care
Janae Nielson ( Cody's Mom )
